for this series i tried to make the shadow in the image pop out a lot more then anything else. i tried to take photos of mostly people in their natural positions without posing. for the pictures of the objects like the fire hydrant i captured part of the hydrant so that the shadow would show more.
Does you and josh share the same pictures? your sixth picture are on his blog too. That, and nice pictures.
ReplyDeleteYou did a really good job of capturing photos of shadows. My favorite is the one of the fire hydrant. I like how you didn't just take the photo of the shadow but you also included the actual fire hydrant.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great start, Max! I really like how you primarily focus on natural positions of people. I really like the fourth image because the combination of the lighting and the shadow creates a very unique style of shadow photography.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really cool idea Max. I've seen lots of shadow series, but nothing quite like this. My advise would be to diversify a little in terms of your subjects for your next draft.
ReplyDeletei really like your photos but i think you can do just a little bit more with the shadows bc they are all rly similar
ReplyDeleteI love your fourth photo. I really like the idea of this project, but try and switch up your subjects a little more next time to make it more interesting.
ReplyDeletegreat series. I really liked your first photo i like the shadows. however i think your strongest photos are the ones of people. i would explore that more.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool! I think you did a great job at enhancing the meaning of each photo by keeping a consistent mood throughout the series. Although it is clear there are very different subjects, the photos all portray a similar mysterious vibe.
ReplyDeleteNice photos Max. I like how you expanded further on our negative space series. I especially like your fourth photo because the shadow against the glowing light looks very mysterious and artistic. I would suggest, keep looking for photo opportunities such as your fourth.
ReplyDeletei really like the composition of the subjects and that for some i know exactly what it is, and for others i left wondering. i think putting all of them into black and white would make the series even more cohesive
ReplyDeleteMax i think you did a really great job with these, your first 5 being the best. They seem personal and lonely as the shadows look at the frames edge. great work! your sixth looks a lot like joshs
