best of the series

last draft

For the project I tried to imitate Andre Kertesz's style of pictures. I tried to take simple, every day objects with a plain background. Most of the pictures are in black and white, but for certain pictures I thought they would look better in color. I thought it would look better in color because it adds more depth to the picture. I tried to create a story past just the simple image.

series project

For the project I tried to imitate Andre Kertesz's style of pictures. I tried to take simple, every day objects with a plain background. Most of the pictures are in black and white, but for picture of the hose I thought it would look better in color. I thought it would look better in color because it adds more depth to the picture. i tried to create a story past just the simple image. For the image of a tunnel. I thought it would add a mysterious aspect to the photo.

story

this project was about telling a story in three or four frames. in certain pictures I shot a few of these scenes from different angles because it adds a dramatic effect. one of these series is from one angle because i thought it would be a cool effect.

micro worlds

this project was about capturing a facial expression on a guy and blur the background. We used real toys and used 2D images. We blured the background so that it looks like the toy is in a real setting. The goal of this project was to create a fantasy world.

portraits

This project was to capture real emotion in the model's face. The project was to capture every a none posed expression that projects a sad face or a face that is deep in thought. certain photos may portray happiness, but in order to portray that emotion the model must actually be smiling or laughing naturally. The point of this picture was to not capture the "say cheese" picture. the say cheese picture is a posed picture that the photographer puts close to no effort into.

motion

The goal of this project was to capture motion with a low shutter speed so that it would create shapes and different forms. Through capturing a reflective light with a low shutter speed it creates a whole new image. In one of these images I edited it so that it would look blue. I did this so that it would look more surrealistic. In a couple of the other pictures I painted pictures with a light so that it would create cool pictures.
