series project

For the project I tried to imitate Andre Kertesz's style of pictures. I tried to take simple, every day objects with a plain background. Most of the pictures are in black and white, but for picture of the hose I thought it would look better in color. I thought it would look better in color because it adds more depth to the picture. i tried to create a story past just the simple image. For the image of a tunnel. I thought it would add a mysterious aspect to the photo.

  2. These photos are very interesting. I like how you chose to keep the picture of the hose in color, it really helps make the hose pop out.

  3. You did a very good job of taking pictures of simple objects. The black and white emphasizes the simplicity, on the surface, but if looked at carefully, it adds a deeper meaning.

  5. Very nice photos Max! I particularly admire how your pictures display a simplistic feel yet your objects are extremely detailed. My favorite photo is the coffee cup, because of the detail and dramatic contrast of the light and dark colors.

  8. This is a very interesting style, that I am also exploring for my series project. I like the detail that is clear in every subject and the simplicity of every background. Also it looks like you did not do much editing which helps convey naturalism and creates a more realistic mood.
