series project draft 2

For the project I tried to imitate Andre Kertesz's style of pictures. I tried to take simple, every day objects with a plain background. Most of the pictures are in black and white, but for certain pictures I thought they would look better in color. I thought it would look better in color because it adds more depth to the picture. I tried to create a story past just the simple image.

  1. Good job Max. There's visible improvement in this draft from your last. I really like the usage of a line in the third shot. One thing though; maybe write a little more in your description so it's clearer what you're going for in this series. Nice work!

  3. I think you did a great job on capturing simple, and clear objects and backgrounds, in the way that Kertesz is known for. I definetly agree that the color ads depth and life to each picture. Great work, and my favorite photo is definetly the third one.

  4. Good job Max. You did a very good job of taking pictures of simple, everyday objects. While I agree color adds more depth to the picture, I think experimenting with black and white with those colored pictures would be interesting to try out.

  7. I think you do a great job capturing everyday objects with simple backgrounds. Although Andre Kertesz's focused on black and white photography, I like how some of your images are in color, incorporating the same techniques, but exploring a different idea.

  8. Nice photos Max! I really appreciate the simplicity and beauty of these everyday objects that you depicted in your photographs. Each one of your photos create a lot of depth and detail to its subjects. I especially like your frist photograph because I like the dull coloring as well the placement of your two objects.

  9. These are beautiful pictures. Really simple but interesting. You succeeded in portraying what at first seem like worthless objects as beautiful focal points.
