depth by repetition

This assignment was to take deep pictures by creating repetition going all the way to the back of the picture. The repetition in this picture created more depth by creating a deeper image. There are no colors in most of these images because if there were colors it would take the viewers attention away from the repetition and depth and they would pay more attention to the color. However there is color in one of the images because it makes the different shapes and perspectives of the photo stand out more. The point of this project was to create more depth by repetition.

  1. Great job on creating leading lines with repetition and not just a straight line. You used many different objects as leading lines to show depth in each photograph. I like the use of color with the stools as a leading line because it really adds a different mood to the collection as a whole.

  2. This is a very unique black and white series portraying depth through pattern repetition. I really like the picture of the meters lined up down the block because it clearly shows your understanding of the concept and a very ambiguous approach. The fact that these images are in black and white conveys a specific mood that is left for the viewers interpretation.

  4. Each one of your photos focuses clearly on the main object of the photo. You manage to include both the subject of the photo and interesting details that accompany it, which make for an eye catching and intriguing photo.

  5. Good work. You've managed to create depth through repetition and leading lines. I think the third shot down is your strongest; the perspective is really interesting.
